When we think about where to get our technology news, we think of YouTube, or more specifically, tech YouTubers. Tech YouTubers are one of the central hubs for news on technology, food, culture, and much more. From the latest iPhones to reviews of the newest software, Youtube has it all. We want to highlight just how much of our knowledge comes from YouTube with a list of these ten YouTubers:

  1. Marques Brownlee
  2. CNET
  3. The Verge
  4. Simpletivity
  5. Tech Smart Boss
  6. Austin Evans
  7. Dottotech
  8. Technology Advice
  9. Keep Productive

Without further ado, let’s dive into the Ten Tech YouTubers you must watch.

Marques Brownlee

Marques Brownlee is one of the most successful tech YouTubers out there, with 11.1 million subscribers. Brownlee’s content focuses on consumer electronics. Marques is your man if you want to get the latest and most trustworthy reviews on phones, laptops, AirPods, and even Tesla. For newcomers, we recommend starting with one of our favorite videos, “The 2020 Mac Pro: A Silent Killer!”

In this video, you will find out about the pros and cons of Mac’s latest PC, and why it is $42,399.

The neat thing about Marques tech reviews is that he goes in-depth about each product. With each product, Marques discusses how and why the product is made. Of course, listing the pros and cons are also a huge help.

CNET

CNET is a team of tech YouTubers dedicated to providing the latest news on technology, videos, podcasts, software downloads, and how-to videos. With 2.6 million subscribers, CNET is a reliable source to get your technology news. Think of CNET as your local YouTube news channel. They also have other channels:

  • CNET Highlights
  • How To Do It All
  • Daily Charge
  • CNET en Espanol

The neat thing about CNET is that most of their videos are a little under five minutes, making it easy for users to get their news on-the-go. For newcomers, we recommend watching “Ditch Zoom for these video chat apps.”

The Verge

The Verge is a Youtube channel made up of tech YouTubers. Well, made up of journalists who examine how technology will change life in the future. Their content is around product reviews and technology news. We love this channel for their unique perspective on products. The video we recommend newcomers watch is “The Future of Foldable PCs at CES 2020.”

With lofi hip-hop in the background, viewers will get the latest insight on where we stand with foldable PCs.

Simpletivity

Simpletivity is one of those hidden gem channels that not many users know. Except for the 126 thousand subscribers that do know. We love Simpletivity for its content. Scott Friesen, a productivity specialist, focuses his content on productivity tips, technology apps, and time management.

The content is excellent, but what’s remarkable is how Scott explains and applies technology apps to productivity. Sort of like a tutorial guide. Scott’s videos range from, “5 Best Trello Power-Ups that are 100% FREE,” to “Turn LinkedIn & Gmail into an Awesome CRM System.”

Each video incorporates some type of productivity/ business application. If you follow Scott’s advice, you are bound to see an improvement in the way you work and how you use your workflow apps.

Our favorite video that we recommend for newcomers to watch is “How to Manage Personal Files and Folders (organization tips).” Follow his guidelines, and you will see an improvement in the way you work, trust me.

Tech Smart Boss

Tech Smart Boss presents a series of educative videos to help entrepreneurs leverage technology to grow their business. David, the creator of the channel,  reviews cool software and discusses the business process.

The great thing about Tech Smart Boss is its software reviews and how they can benefit users, especially in the business world. If you are starting a business or are already in business and are looking to change software, Tech Smart Boss is the place to begin your search.

To give you an idea of what David’s videos are like, we recommend watching “Bring Your A Game To Project Management with Awork (Onboarding and Review).”

Austin Evans

Austin Evans is another big tech YouTuber out there who is known for his technology reviews. Evans’s content ranges from gaming PCs to smartphones and everything in between. Whether it’s finding out if that new gadget is worth it, discovering the coolest of retro and cutting edge tech, or testing the latest smartphone, you’ll find it all here. There’s a reason Austin Evans is well-known. He is simply great at what he does.

We recommend viewers starting with “The Cheapest GAMING Keyboards on Amazon.”

DottoTech

Like Simpletivity, DottoTech is one of those hidden gem YouTube channels that once you find, you will be wondering why you haven’t found them earlier.  After spending over 15 years of hosting and producing Dotto Tech on TV (Canada), Steve Dotto now focuses on delivering content on YouTube.

DottoTech’s content is about how to improve productivity with technology today. If there are two things AirSend loves, it is productivity and technology. After all, technology and productivity are what makes the world go around.

Aside from the great content, Steve Dotto is a fun and entertaining person to watch. We wish we could recommend all of his videos; but, we know that people have lives. We recommend Dotto’s latest video, “Jitsi Meet vs Zoom and Google Meet.”

Technology Advice

TechnologyAdvice is a channel for both buyers and sellers of business technology. By educating and advising buyers on the best technology for their needs, Technology Advice helps improve their business and simplify their operations.

For vendors, Technology Advice helps connect them with their ideal audience and grow their customer base.

From watching the videos ourselves, we believe that all viewers can stand to gain some benefits and knowledge in the business technology industry. A video that we think is a good icebreaker is “Software as a Service (SaaS), Explained.

Keep Productive

Keep Productive is a YouTube channel dedicated to helping you find the most suitable productivity tools (technology apps)  for your work and life. Like Simpletivity, Keep Productive is a great place to learn how to use your applications effectively.

We recommend new viewers try out, “Supernotes: Rushing Note-Taking Star.” A brief description of Supernotes is that it is a new note-taking application designed to help users take simple, shareable, and parent and tag-based cards.

Linus Tech Tips

Linus Tech Tips is a group of tech YouTubers who are “professionally curious” experts in consumer technology and video production. They aim to inform and educate people of all ages through entertaining videos.

Their channel does product reviews, step-by-step computer build guides, and a variety of other tech-focused projects. Linus Tech Tips, currently at 11 million subscribers, cater to every consumer technology out there. Like Marques Brownlee, if you need a product review, these guys will certainly deliver.

A great video to get you started is, “A Wake-Up Call for Microsoft- Surface Book 3.”

Some tips and tools that real estate agents can use to work with international real estate clients remotely.
Some tips and tools that real estate agents can use to work with international real estate clients remotely.

In the past, it was highly unlikely for the typical real estate agent to work with clients who didn’t live in the same city as them. Now, it’s possible to have clients from all over the world because of the internet. This article goes over some tips and tools that real estate agents can use to work with international real estate clients remotely.

First we’re going to start with some tips, then we’ll go into some tech tools that will help you implement the tips.

Tips for Working with International Real Estate Clients

Forget About Working Hours

Most real estate agents don’t have these anyways, but if you have any rules about certain hours you won’t work – throw them out the window. It’s common for real estate agents working with International clients to work late into the night or get up at 4 AM for a call because that’s when their clients are awake.

Be a Good Liaison

As an agent, you act as a guide for your clients by helping them navigate a large, complex transaction they don’t fully understand. That is why you were hired in the first place. While this is true for any real estate client you work with, it is doubly true for international clients. International clients have even less knowledge about local laws and customs, and there may even be a language barrier. It’s important that you help your remote client communicate and connect with the right people at the right times throughout the real estate buying or selling process.

Communicate Clearly and Often

This goes along with the previous tip, but make sure you are readily available to answer any questions or help communicate information to necessary parties on behalf of your client. Oftentimes, language barriers and time zone differences can prevent international real estate clients from personally interacting with builders or title companies. This is why you must step in often to help continue the flow of information. Also remember to communicate as clearly as possible to prevent any misunderstandings.

Now that we’ve gone over the most important tips, let’s get into some tools that can help you succeed.

Zoom

One of the first hurdles of working with international clients is how to avoid extravagant phone bills while still forming a strong personal connection. The easiest way around this is with Zoom – a platform that lets you do video calling and screen sharing for free. While free accounts on Zoom do have a 40 minute time limit, you can easily re-start the call after you reach the limit. The great thing about Zoom is that you can “meet” your clients face-to-face at any time no matter how far away they may be.

WeChat

For a text and email replacement WeChat works well, especially if your client lives in China, where WeChat is so standard that most professionals have it on their phones so they can complete basic work tasks. While some things must still go through email – like documents from Docusign – WeChat beats email for communicating with clients because of its immediacy. It is also free and also contains voice and video calling. However, Zoom video calling is better quality and has the convenient screen sharing option in case you want to show pictures of homes or a presentation during your call.

AirSend

For an easy way to share and organize large files, AirSend works amazingly. Sharing files over email or WeChat can be unwieldy. With AirSend, you can store and share files all in one place. You can also send messages, manage tasks, and write and keep notes. See more about how it works below.

Working with international real estate clients can be more involved than working with local clients, but with the right mindset and tools – it can be easy and highly rewarding.

AirSend is a versatile digital workspace for real estate professionals to share files, send messages, and complete tasks. See how AirSend can help you as your business grows here.
